Printing print files (*.prn) to a printer attached to USB port

Friday, July 31, 2009
So guys if you recall a function very widely used in Windows 98 DOS command i.e "copy *.* lpt1" and this sends the specific files to the printer attached to the port LPT1. But with the insertion of USB ports this command has become worthless as most of the printer nowadays comes only with a USB data cable as these are much faster and manageable in comparison with the port LPT1. But what if anyone still need that utility to print files using the 8.prn files. Don't panic yaar!!!!! When there is a problem a solution always remains so as in this case. I have found a small software with an easy user interface which is capable of printing through *.prn files to any printer attached to any port. The only thing which should be kept in mind that files should be made by the compatible printer. Means if you are printing a prn file created by Hp1020 then you should point to same printer model using the software.
And here comes the software Heidelberg Digimaster Print files Downloader .

This small software can solve your problem and Download Initial Heidelberg Digimaster Print file Downloaderfrom the link and install. Now create as many as prn files you can and carry them with you and print where you want as shown below.

Just note down only one thing you should change printer language to PCL and modify print to No and enjoy printing.
